Integrated, spicy, meaty, blackberry infused Syrah that has excellent palate depth, as well as invigorating freshness. I like the balance, and think this could drink well for a very long time.

Bees Wax enclosure! Pretty schweet. We really enjoyed the styling of this Syrah. Nice combination of dark moderate ripe black and blue fruit, but not overdone. Some elegant smoked meat and spice box. Restrained as a whole but still excellent depth and gorgeous mouth feel. This was killer and should be sought out thought very limited and hard to fine.

Division Winemaking Company Tasting (Doi Moi - DC): Lovely aromatics of pepper, bacon and barbecue sauce on top of a rich concentration of juicy black cherries. Full and tannic on the palate but maintains vibrancy with a good dose of acidity. The black cherry fruit is pure and chewy, but the real satisfaction comes from these non-fruit complexities: soy, pepper, charcoal, barbecue sauce, clove. Earthy, savory, spicy, complex, but very young. This needs time to cool down, but it's a beautiful Syrah for sure. From Northern Rhone cuttings planted in 2006, this also contains a touch of Viognier.
