(Araujo Estate Cabernet Sauvignon) Deep garnet color, with a clear rim. The initially subdued nose of stones, spicy oak, chocolate, and warm alcohol opens up to reveal blackcurrant, black plum, caraway, and a hint of jalapeño. More complex on the palate, although lean in structure, with a rich mouthfeel and a long finish. Terroir: Eisele Vineyard

From another new purchase, similar to prior notes after double decanting for 2 hr, except possibly the best bottle yet; outstanding & ready to drink

This is lovely. It’s is quite ripe but not a blockbuster huge style. Initially some perfumed furniture polish sense on the palate.
After it opens my mind evokes an Italian style like Isole e Olena
Decent warming finish - some fresh uplift in there
Very good, plenty of time on its side
That perfumed note comes through on the nose.and as it opens get a slight Meursault oak tang to the finish.
Lovely - give it an hour to open

Ultra ripe and unmistakably a product of that era of Napa. Tannin and body are faded but still alive. I’d drink these if you have them.
