2017 White and 2014 Red Burgundy (The Morris, San Francisco): Light ruby. Attractive fragrant red berry fruit. Lighter weight. Much more pull of soil than the Rossignol wine but very nicely balanced with the fruit. Tart, refreshing acidity. Good texture but shorter finish. This is very good but suffers from slight astringency now. Will this ameliorate with more aging?

From magnum; possibly my favorite this evening as it was drinking youthfully and so pure, lacy red fruit, floral, delicate red fruit with a juicy core, a kiss of sweet oak yet to integrate, long finish and showing beautifully this evening; crazy to see a magnum doing this well as the 760s seem to have entered a dumb phase where all they show is their acids.
Meh. Drinks unattractively of rhubarb, prune, and "meat". Day 3 brought me a little mint, but seriously, I put these down pretty quick, so I was not at all enamoured by this offering. Might work with duck, I don't see this working with lobster.
... although the last few steps it started to grow on me

Paired with grilled lobster. The saltiness and sweetness from lobster match the flora and honeysuckle notes from this PN. Right balance of acidity and tannin doesn't empower the flavour of the main dish. Perfect match for a nice evening.

What a nose! Like perfume in a glass. Juice was acidic at first, but sweetened well after an hour or two.
