  Took to a wine-centric party, where two people declared it wine-of-the-night. While the two people in question just love old, musty wines, I'm on the fence. Nevertheless, this was pretty tasty. All kinds of secondary stuff - leather, wet leaves, etc. - but it still showed nice red and black fruits, and it's still very well balanced. Still fairly rich, and it showed a very nice finish. Needless to say, it's holding up just fine, thank you.

  Purple in color. 14.1% ABV. Stunning nose of dark fruits, licorice, leather and graphite. Concentrated and polished with copious lush fruits. The texture is exquisite. Black currants, cassis, plums and tobacco on the palate. The finish is exceptionally long with silky tannins in spades. This is drinking beautifully now and should continue do so for another 5-7 years.

  Similar to prior note after a 1 hour double decant & went beautifully with the lamb at La Nouvelle Maison; outstanding, drink or hold
