Intoxicating, blueberry and boysenberry nose on opening. Front end presented dark fruits, plum and black licorice with a hint of leather and stone slate. Medium minus tannins, shorter finish than I would’ve suspected, but plenty of acidity bracing mid pallet. Lovely.

Deep, clear, indigo in color. Nose consists of ripe berry, pine tar and spice. Blackberry, raspberry, mocha, clove and a hint of pepper on the palate. Big and full bodied but layered with blended tannins and a smooth, elegant finish. Served with Steak Diane.

This was dark, inky purple, full bodied, rich concentrated but elegant and polished with lush black berry and black raspberry fruits with layers of cassis, clove spice, sweet oak, black tea, mocha and vanilla bean, with smooth silky soft tannins and nicely balanced acidity on the finish.
Dark, inky purple, cassis, vanilla bean, mocha, black plum and pomegranate on the nose, lush and broad on the attack with layers of velvety red and black fruit framed in heaps of wood and granular but soft tannins, finishes with oak, black fruit, limited acidity, black tea and mocha
In general, I'm a fan of Cliff Lede but this is one is a little too rich for my taste

See previous notes from December. Really well balanced. Blackberry, raspberry, mocha and clove on the palate. Nicely integrated tannins. Long finish.
