Delicious blend, very dry, very low tannin. Berry forward that may fool the palette to be considered slightly sweet. Somewhat acidic (alcohol may be contributing to the burn-feel in the throat). Both the Pinot and the Syrah flavors can be distinctly identified yet the resulting blend is much more robust than the Pinot alone. Pinot up front followed by Syrah on the upper palette, then they blend together seamlessly. Tonight’s food pairing is with marinated salmon on the barbecue, but we enjoyed it by itself before the salmon was even done. Highly recommended.
