Dark orange color. A strong note of oxidation, tastes a bit like an orange wine, very ripe apple fruit, herbal vegetal notes, some botrytis, fine acidity, good complexity. A very good wine with food. Very different to the warmer less complicated recent vintages. I like it, but I don't think it will still age very well. Probably best to drink now. - 90 points

Still has this weird baked apple, orange wine, and herbal character, but it is utterly delicious with crisp acidity and a very rich palate. A unique vintage, that I really enjoy. More complex than the easier vintages 2015/2016. -91 points

A very interesting vintage for the GV Grub. The typical cool and rainy vintage profile of 2014. A reserved fruit of baked yellow apples and peaches, a strong vegetal component with fennel, tobacco and chamomile, not unlike some orange wines in style; great acidity and an impressive mineral core. Lots of depth and interestingly complex. A wine of great harmony but quite unusual in style for Gobelsburg and Grub. Curious to see how this ages. - 91 points
