  • Been holding on to this one for a bit. This one needed about an hour and a half to fully express. Initially the news resembled one of those girl scout cookies that used to be called Samoas. A little bit of coconut, chocolate, oatmeal, herbaceous, red fruited. Rather interesting, so I left it alone. An hour later, red and black fruits on the nose but there was still an herbaceousness and oatmeal character. Entered medium + bodied. Red and black fruit with red clay kind of character. More classic Rutherford dust up front. Black pepper and bell pepper and sweet tobacco to the middle and finish. Hint of red licorice and oregano. Really neat wine. Great finesse.

  • Very good cab. Opened up nicely. Black fruits, good bouquet. Medium complexity. If you have a chance to visit, this is a small out of the way winery in a beautiful location. We had a great tasting there.
