My final bottle of 5 purchased in 2008. 13 years since my last one. Notes on the 3rd night open. Dark tawny color but not very saturated or opaque. Medium-profound bouquet of root beer and cherry cola, licorice and eucalyptus, red velvet cake, medjool dates, and dark chocolate. Certainly not heavy or terribly dense, but it can keep up with a good cigar or even tone it down for some food, too. Since it isn't syrupy, it is quite easy to drink. Delish. 4+12+18+9= 93

Dinner @Houston's. Awesome again, consistent with priors. Only one left now, and I'm quite distraught about it :( Good thing I shared it with some great CT friends

LA/OC Welcomes Hollowine! (WCC & Houston's Irvine): Interesting vintage port here. Lots of mint and eucalyptus on the nose and palate which really gave a nice refreshing feel to the heavier roasted nuts, dark chocolate, and prune flavors. I think this is still young, despite being so integrated and flavorful. I would be curious to check back in on this in 10+ years to see how it evolves.

Not nearly as enjoyable as their N.V. bottling, this lacked the freshness and juiciness that I'm used to. The nose was (slightly above) average as was the palate. Plenty of sediment. Approx $28. Would not re-purchase - will stick with the N.V. bottling instead.
