  • I had a bit of trouble identifying this wine on their website and believe it may well be a discontinued label .Although when I found an old web page they did show this wine as a discounted wine , so who knows why they stopped .
    However, let's begin
The nose is peppery and slightly meaty , a slight wiff of alcohol and oak
On the tongue it is medium in body showing fruit in the middle, slight acid to the front and light tannin to the sides.
The taste lingers for a while developing into a slight stalky astringent bight.
    The colour is dark,
It's a very well put together wine similar to many Rhone style wines the meat and the pepper are there, bold with fine tannins.i guess though there is no Viognier blended into this one .
I will come back in a month or so but I do not expect this to change and feel it is drinking at it's peak.
You should be able to pick this wine up for around $27.00 - $32.00AU forget the claim that it will cost $50.0 retail you just wont find it for that price.
You will have to decanter this wine it is throwing sediment and particles

    August 2020

Still plenty of sediment and particles.

The nose is holding up well.

Softened on the tongue still very nice drinking could be at it's peak .
