The French "two-buck chuck" for people who will only remember a bottle of wine for the price and alcohol buzz.
I like TJ wines and rely on them exclusively for daily wines but this one isn't worth it even at $6.
There is nothing offensive about this wine but there is no character either. It is so thin, you can rinse a glass with it and see very little signs that there was even wine in it. This is what happens when you over-engineer wines to remove any and all objectionable characteristics from cheap grapes.
The vanilla, cherry notes feel so artificial in this chemically engineered wine, you can probably reproduce it by adding some gin and cough syrup to grape juice.
Will be overwhelmed by anything other than bland cheese and crackers.
The sweet fruity tastes are targeted at California wine fans and packaged to look like a Bordeaux. There are much better options even in TJ at the same price range than this waste of carbon footprint to bring it to the table.

A very good wine and an extraordinary value. I second above comments. Plenty of body and well structured, dry but with good purple fruit flavor presented in an elegant way.
