  Excellent value. Gave it a brief decant and drank over an hour or two. Not overly tannic despite its youth. Plenty of cassis and blue fruit. Fruit forward for sure, but not cloying. Oak under control. Some acidity. Simple but well made. Good balance.

  Perfectly straddles the line of a sub-$25 wine you could share with Napa wine fans/90pts-fiends and one that could evoke a subtle nod of approval from your overdressed local sommelier. Medium-bodied, great blackfruit on the palate that is approachable but not over-extracted. The finish is where things get sexy time: light smoke, nutmeg, medium tannins to balance the aforementioned fruit.
