Well here you go. Most pundits I know prefer star-winemaker Anselmi’s San Vincenzo as young as they come. Well here’s a secret: I don’t!
Whilst his 2017 is about to hit the market, I’m convinced his 2014 SV is just at its peak. The nose is confusing: honey infused sauv blanc? Close!
Soave’s Garganega-varietyis playing with a minority of SB - which gives it acidity, fruits, length, depth and longuevity. Leave all your current vintage bottles for 2-3 years, simply to treat yourself. The wine is worth it.

Garganega with Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and therefore outside Soave DOCG rules. Medium straw color. The nose is clean and fresh, with scents of wet stone, apple and lemon. That palate is dry, crisp, with medium body and a clean finish. A really nice, elegant Pinot Grigio alternative.

Dark gold color. Melons and citrus on the nose. The palate is quite round, with melon and some citrus, bus a hint of sweetness. Long finish. First taste was a bit disappointing, but as it sat in the glass, and took on some air, it transformed. Nice stuff.

Delightful. 10% Sauvignon Blanc, but it tasted more like one than a garganega. A bit rounder.

Very nice. Near ripe apricots with a touch of honey. Delicious.
