Random purchase from a dodgy liquor outlet in New Orleans. Possibly the heaviest bottle I've felt. Cork. 14.8% alcohol. 82% malbec and a blend of other noble varieties. Dense and dark with crimson rim. Not a lot on the nose at all, hint of gravel and blackberry essence. Now in the mouth it shines. Heaps of dense concentrated old vine fruit with jammy core and iron edge. Really long finish. Still yet to hit it's peak. Opens up with charcoal and then the gravel and earth closes it out. This is a he-man wine fit for a gaucho roasting his cow.
