Fabulous nose of minerals and cassis but the palate lags behind on initial open. After a glass apiece in which nothing changed, we opted to cork it back up and wait a day or three. But frequent tastings in the week since failed to bring about betterment and tonight we fed it to the rhododendrons. Not what I'd hoped for.

Back on form after a couple of years. Some reduction taking a back seat to minerally dark fruited nose. Fairly low-acid with woolly tannin and (relatively) extracted fruit, I prefer the zippy acid of 2010 but this is a more crowd pleasing style and good. Baby Chinon, simple and pretty decent sub-$15 bottle.
