Naturally this 2013 vintage was much less complete and subtle than the 15 year old tawny type opened on Christmas day but it was more than satisfactory in its own way with robust body, juicy slightly sweet red fruit, some earthy minerals and good backbone. As always a good complement to chocolate based desserts. It would be interesting to age one of these for about 10 years to see how much complexity develops but it is good like this at the 5 year mark.

As always a fresh and vigorous port type wine, medium+ bodied full of bright raspberry tinged Grenache fruit, minerals, fresh acidity, gentle sweetness and backbone. Excellent with Stilton and chocolate dessert. Very good. .

There seems to have been hardly any evolution since my bottle 4 years ago. As usual good with a chocolate dessert. Good.

Rond, agréable, mais simple et court. Bien moins bon que mon souvenir du 2014. 85 pts

Like a ruby port, but with less alcohol and riper fruit that is less prune and desiccated in nature. Just ok.
