This wine has a tight core of lemony acidity that anchors everything, including the floral nose with hints of tropical fruit, the initial wave of vanilla spice oak and more fruit (tending towards green apple at this point) and then the solid almost steely lemon "core" that leads to the long intense finish.
With so many bottles still in people's cellars, clearly you know something we all don't - Give this a few more years even?

loved this. medium gold color. perfume is lemon, white flowers, acacia. lots of great cut in this - really nice lemon notes, some salinity, some hints of minerality for a CA; long finish; a touch of oak as it warms? With a bit more minerality, this could have been a Puligny 1st cru to me....

Opened and let breathe in the bottle for 30 minutes. Very nice. This really improved with some air time. At this stage I would either give it 2-3 hours opened in the bottle or better yet a proper decant of at least an hours. Should improve for 3-5 years and then drink well for awhile after that.

a chablis like CA chard; very tart; lemon curd; tight acidity that is coiled; medium to light body; had this right after the Aubert Ritchie 2013; that was much more lush, and def a medium plus body; more pineapple notes. the finish on this is nice and while it doesnt have the minerality of a chablis, it has a whif of diesel/reduction that i like. i really like this even though the aubert is a more complete wine.
