Mid gold. Aromatically limited. Pears, noughat, almond croissant and a touch of rubbing alcohol. On palate, rich, full and concentrated but with sufficient acidic cut. Yellow and white orchard fruit particularly poached pears, yellow apples, peaches and nectarines. Some toasty oak but with fruit to match. Not overtly mineral or complex but, nonetheless, enjoyable and well matched with food. At age 10 years seemingly at early maturity. No sign of premox or any inappropriate oxidisation. No hurry is needed to drink this Chassagne but I'd drink between now and 2030.

Concentrated, racy and rich with underlying citric freshness. Medium gold. Pronounced. White and yellow peach, citrus gives an uplifting edge. Ripe. Wet stones. Vanilla and toasted notes. Nutty with slug oxidative hints. Complex. Medium body, high acidity. Med alcohol. Long. Outstanding.
Btb with 2017 which is riper and less racy.
NB: Aged in Alliers oak (about one-third new) and bottled after 14-16 months in cask.
Chassagne’s 1er Cru Les Caillerets is noted for the large numbers of limestone rocks called cailloux which litter the surface of the soils. Sitting at the northern end of the village, Les Caillerets sits on a bedrock of dense limestone marble, as can be seen in the quarry just above the vineyard site.

Early but showing complexity. Has a salty front end with tropical fruits and nicely integrated. Needs another 3-5 years to be at peak IMO. This will be going for another 10-15 years. Really nice wine

Flinty but with richness beneath the minerality, lovely concentration and vibrant acidity, a knockout performance.
