  • Fantastic. Lots of cherry notes amidst perfect balance and a delightfully long finish.

  • Aged well. Smooth on the palate. Somewhat fruity. Very vey enjoyable.

  • Good baked red and blue fruits on the nose. Really fragrant and floral. Vanilla and orange, too. Nice acidity on the palate, the orange really dominates on top of rich red and blue fruits. Dusty tannins. Really like the high acidity throughout. Quite good.

  • Red cherry, raspberry, earth and floral notes on the nose. Medium bodied (13.9% ABV) with pleasantly bright red cherry upfront, adding black cherry and red raspberry through the middle. Especially after being open for several hours, the mid-body opens up quite nicely, showing impressive fruit, good depth and very nice balance. The mixture of brighter red fruit (especially cherry) along with the darker, deeper blackfruit in combination with the tart cherry, cranberry and acidity behind make for good contrast and complexity. Tannins provide backbone, but match well with the fruit. Should continue to integrate and positively evolve over the next few years.
As well as it showed tonight, with another 12-18 months of the acidity and fruit integrating, this could show even better. Worth trying to track down a few more bottles!

  • OK, this wine rearranged my sense of what a Pinot should be. This is not EU barnyard. This is not a RRV fruit bomb. This is Peay Anderson Valley and I love it. At this point in time it is an elegant Pinot with voluptuous light cherry and rose petal entry and mid. This is an elegant Pinot unlike any I have every enjoyed. BTW, I do not want this with food but only because I will never have enough to of it to not just enjoy it by itself. Had it with shrimp stuffed portobello tonight and it was superb.
