It's lush; it's luxurious; it's opulent. Full of ripe, lush dark fruit, some baking spice, a little tannin. Presents as a ripe, warm vintage style and, as such, lacks in the evocative aromas that we associate with the best of WR. In that regard, without meaning disrespect to the producers, it is somewhat lacking in personality.

Label says 13.1% alcohol but it seems a little hot and jammy. Of course 2014 was a very warm vintage, and because of the whole cluster, Jesus let the grapes hang perhaps longer than some. Dark, a little ripe, rich, not quite as elegant as some of the earlier vintages at White Rose.

Drank this beautiful Pinot at Dundee Bistro tonight for my birthday... glad I brought it, delicious, probably opened a couple years early, but tasty for sure.

Winorama: A winter in Wineland II; 1/6/2018-1/14/2018 (Portland, Eureka, Napa): The start of our White Rose tasting. Pretty red fruits, some bing cherry to it, some pepper. Very easy drinking. It's not quite as expressive as it might be with a bit more air (bottle had just been popped), but it was a nice way to ease into the tasting and an enjoyable bottle. Enjoyed these when they came with our club shipment (and taught me that I like the stems).
