Super delicious, fine, balanced. Classic Santa Rita Hills notes, but not over the top. Popped and poured, but savored over 2 hours. Continued to improve, but we were impatient and consumed it all within that time.

Pop and pour. In the glass, clear, dark red, shading ever so slightly to violet-red at the core. On the nose, a cherry/raspberry mix, with a secondary note of bay leaves. On the palate, an appealing mixture of a lush mouth-filling texture with balanced fruit and minerality, with a grace note of beef blood. With 90 minutes of air, the tannins receded to nothingness, so if you've decided to open one, give it at least an hour in the decanter.

My notes of 5/12/19 still hold (minus the lamb this time...and a bump to 96). Wanted to drink my second bottle sooner given how good it was last May. I've been fortunate to have had many of Pauls' Pinots and this is one of his best!

Terrific +! Syrupy and plush but, as previously noted, not overly candied. All in balance...acidity, fruit, spice, tannin. Great complexity. Coincidentally, as ROLLE27 suggested, had it with rack of lamb and it was fantastic. Feels like it will hold for a few years, but it is drinking beautifully today. Great on PnP, though it did develop in the glass/bottle over the following hours.

Drank beautifully, paired with Veal rib chops.
