This bottle was missing the multitude of flavors that my last bottle had. This one was very balanced, nice body and smooth yet lively finish. fruit was beautiful but a bit one-noted tonight.

This still has a nice dark color with a classic Napa nose of dark fruit and cassis. Palate has more dark fruits with a good bit of zesty acidity and tannins on the back end that are undoubtedly softer than they would have been a few years ago. I don’t agree that this wine has peaked or needs to be drunk soon. It’s very enjoyable now, and there’s still plenty of fruit to support a continued evolution. This was a great buy from Garagiste a little while back and while Rimmerman’s prose can be vexxing, his picks are usually good.

This was a "wow" wine! This reminded me of my beloved 2016 Carter Carter and the OG. Had that great mouthfeel, nice viscosity (but not heavy), beautiful red and black fruit and layers upon layers of flavor. Lots of chocolate, coffee grounds and tobacco on the long finish. Peaked at about 1-2 hours and lost some of the lusciousness by hour #4. This wine at $75 was the steal of the century.

Blueberry, black cherry elixir with fine tannins. Medium to full bodied, savory finish. Best after 3 hour slow-ox.

Wonderful, blueberry, black cherry elixir with fine tannins. Medium to full bodied, better after 90 minutes.
