  • This is just about ready to my tastes. Still coiled- with a strong granite edge (or more correctly- limestone) but not as tightly as de Moor's wines tend to be when young. Not sure I want this much more mature; I think it will lose something if that edge goes.

  • Simple and straightforward. High acid. Was hoping for a bit more.

  • Really good. Bright, vibrant, but with some creamy fruit too. Drinking great now.

  • Wow, what a beautiful and complex wine! On the nose, citrus, lemon zest, white flowers, and strong minerals. On the palate, there is so much energy, rich in flavour yet balanced and complex, with great acidity, finish was really long over 30 sec. If I taste this blind, I may guess it is the white from Cote de Beaune...

    Some background on the plot:

Rosette has a more complex soil, and is much harder to work. The plot slopes up to a 40% incline, and the vineyard can roughly be separated in three distinct parts: the very top is eroded materials over hard Portlandian rock; the mid-slope is directly over Kimmeridgian marl, which can quickly suffer from drought. Finally, the the bottom part is rich in dense clay with some limestone, resulting in later ripening. They usually do two harvests there, sometimes two weeks apart. They consider their best plot.

  • Drinking great now with a short decant. Vibrant, shimmering wine. This and the Chitry have been my favorites of the De Moor 2014s
