A very cool bottle, with a taste courtesy of Arnaud at Racines. Minuscule production from Trollat’s vines. Clearly northern Rhône and low acidity, but without the heavy waxiness. Also some salinity on the finish, which is cool and unusual. It was super interesting, but ultimately rhone whites just don’t do it for me.

Showing beautifully. One could hold, but truly lovely now.

Pierre Gonon St. Joseph (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Light to medium weight. Pretty neutral, but some tangy ripe orange. I'll take it since that's more than I usually get out of this grape.
