  This wine improved dramatically on the second day. The first day the wine was relatively closed. However, the second day saw aromas of ripe muskmelon soar from the glass, while the wine finished with a note of bitter almond.

  Very interesting. Never even heard of this varietal before. Any time you see German on an Italian wine label you should know you're in for something a little unusual. Moderately reminscent of a dry Riesling, but without the minerality. Redolent of green apples, nicely tart and a little bitter, almost soapy, on the finish. I'm enjoying it, but I'd call it more interesting than tasty.
