Community Tasting Notes (6) Avg Score: 89.5 points

  • Nose of jasmine, floral, orange blossom, stone fruit, peach. The palate is very fat and dense, notes of blossom, rose, tropical fruit, stone fruit, peach, apricot, melon, orange oils, spice, roasted pineapple. Tons of flavor, shows great typicity, maybe just a bit too fat/oily for me.

  • Nose with honeysuckle, peach blossom, pear, acacia, and a hint of lemon zest; the palate has nice balance and is quite tasty though lacks a bit of depth and concentration for Condrieu. Very good.

  • Tasted Blind

    A: Pale lemon green
N: Peach, white flowers, touch of grass or herbs, white pepper, medium (+) intensity and youthful
P: Flavors like aromas. Best summed up as peach salad with fennel and sage leaves. Dry, medium acid, medium (+) body, high alcohol (14%), long finish, pronounced intensity.
C: Drink now or lay down for a few more years, perhaps just a couple. I would like more acidity to maintain the freshness over the long term. Very Good to Outstanding Quality Wine. . Wouldn't buy it again at the $50 +/bottle price tag

  • Tasted blind. Clear, bight, pale straw with green hues. The nose is clean, youthful, medium in intensity, with aromas of apple, apricot, hazelnut and orange blossom. There's no oak apparent. The palate is dry, with medium acidity and high alcohol (14%). The palate is consistent with the nose; creamy and smooth and a slightly oily, bitter finish. The palate is full-bodied, with medium flavor intensity and length. This appears to be an old world, cool to moderate climate wine. The color is deceiving, however, since it drinks and tastes like a much richer and more extracted wine. It is drinking well now and should continue to do so for several years more.

  • Tasted Blind (Coravin Accessed)

    A: Pale lemon green
N: Peach, apricot, pie crust, roses, earth medium (+) intensity. Developing
P: Tastes like a PEACH SALAD. Zucchini, lettuce, peach, honeysuckle, rose, earth. Dry, medium (+) acid, medium (+) body, high alcohol, pronounced intensity and long finish
C: OUTSTANDING QUALITY wine. I would Drink in the next 5 years. I really like this wine and am not a fan of Condrieu generally. Its fascinating hence the score but the QPR is poor when you consider the price is $54.
Well lubricated and so my acidity perception is running high
