  I aerated this wine, then returned it to the bottle well before serving. It was a deep red color and had a fully, fruity nose redolent of ripe black fruit. On the palate, it was very well balanced, with pleasant soft tannins, lots of fruit and a nice tartness. It had a long finish. The wine was served with spicy meat appetizers, then a dinner of spaghetti and spicy Italian sausage. It went very well with the meal.
