Massively structured- the acid on this is huge, with a real chalkiness. Flavour and aromas of red apples, peach, walnut, homey, orange pith, toasted marshmallow. Merits a good airing, only then does it reveal its true power.

Needs a 1-2 hour decant. This is lovely. A tiny whiff of diesel. Some stone fruits. A lot of slate with a slightly honeyed finish. Went really well with Chilean Sea Bass Ceviche.

Light yellow-gold in the glass; slightly reticent nose with a honeyed note.
Light-bodied - to be honest, I can't imagine identifying this as Riesling blind. More acidity than I was expecting, and not bad, but also not quite what I expect from Alsace. Interesting to say the least.
