Dang this wine is amazing and not close to peak. Needed about 40 min of air and then it was one of those wines you just didn't want to get to the last drop. A finish that wouldn't quit. This Syrah could hang with any at twice the price. 5 Star QPR for sure.

Great wine, even better on day 2. Nice notes of cracked peppercorn, bacon, and bramble. Fruit is all blackberry, very delicious. Lots of upside still. Drink now - 2029.

Decanted 2+ hours. Quite acidic and primal on day 1. Barrel notes showing, black fruits, acid, some earth. I thought it needed time.
Day 2 it was much more approachable. Fruit fleshed out, acidity more mild, barrel notes faded into a supporting role...it drinks very well with air time. I would actually hold off on this one for another year or two...it has some legs. Drink 2019-2026+.

Smooth tannins under savoury black fruit, a touch of black spice
Superb with Harbisson cheese, less so with Brie

PNP, drank over 2 nights. Plenty of life left. Savory, meaty Syrah. Lots of acid on the finish.
