  • It seems that with each new ABC epiphany I make, the bar is being raised. The ironic bonus is that the price tag is being lowered!:) We discovered this wine a couple weeks ago during a Bordeaux variety-centric long weekend in Napa. Suffering from a bit of Cab palate fatigue, we were enjoying the outdoor patio at the Solage Resort's SolBar and I happened upon this on their list and so, took a chance on a bottle. I think it was the 2014 but regardless, it was really enjoyed by the group. Fast forward a couple weeks and I found some 2015 while shopping for "Turkey wine" at a small shop in the San Diego area and so, hesitated all of about 1/2 second before adding a couple bottles to my cart. Opened on Thanksgiving and I freaked out! Crisp. Bright. Acid-driven. Everything I search for in my ongoing quest. I could quite literally drink only this and Littorai's phenomenal Pinots, for the rest of my life and never long for another.

  • Yum. Very fresh, higher acidity, minerality on palate, hints of pear and petrol on the nose. Excellent go-to white for us.

  • Delicious, opened up to greater complexity as it warmed a bit: pear with a hint of petrol. Fresh, medium plus body, felt like the alcohol was on the higher end, though certainly not hot or overly viscous.

  • If Hummingbirds could only drink one wine... They'd drink the 2015 Curran Grenache Blanc If you do not smell ripe, ripe sliced bosc pear, and as the label suggests: white peach, guava and honeysuckle then open another bottle and try again! This wine rocks out of the bottle like it did out of the tank. Drink young and stay thirsty my friends.
