Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of light lemon colour, with fading watery rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with medium intensity aromas of citrus fruit of lemon, stone fruit of peach, tropical fruit of melon, floral notes of blossom and hawthorn, mineral notes of stony, maturity notes of petrol and honey. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium alcohol, medium (-) body and medium (+) intensity flavours of citrus fruit of lime, stone fruit of peach, mineral notes of stony and petrol, maturity notes of honey. The wine has a medium (+) finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Alsace Riesling with a reasonably intense nose showing the good varietal aromas of floral and fruit, with the nice honey and mineral notes already apparent and dominant. The palate is elegant, refreshing yet also concentrated, with the similar fruity and floral flavours supplemented with a nice honey note at the finish. The length is quite long and while it is ready to drink now, it can benefit from further ageing of another 3-5 years.
