Anne Gros' Vougeot '93 - that was the bug that bit me and converted to burgundies 17 years ago. I visited her domain many times, and always go to the cellar to check 20-30 y.old wines. Mesmerizing experience with old Riche or Vougeot. This particular wine is a different story. Was very much open 8 years ago but today it feels like it is as shut down as a fresh oyster. Given the decent acidity and unobtrusive tannins there is still hope that it opens up in time (10-15 years, no less) but right now - don't uncork. 91+(?)

Tight, tannins dominant with a slight sweetness and dark fruit component that hasn't balanced with the tannins. Needs time. Not worth opening now. Left for 2 days tested both days without any improvement. Shut down

Dark dense almost resinous ripe red fruit on the nose, cooking spice, cumin. Some stemmy sappy qualities.
For now, big acid and pervasive tannins. Clearly built for longevity. Cranberry, highly concentrated raspberry, touch of cinnamon, cola. Spices expand on the finish.
With the amount of freshness and concentration in play I feel like this will be a delight after some more time.

Same to the baby 2014 Roumier BM he brought to the dinner, too early to enjoy. A shut down wine at this moment but give it 10 years, it will wow.

Very young, highly aromatic. Much lighter then expected.
Won't rate it because it didn't even guess that it was burgundy...
