  • Tasted blind. Pale bright lemon with green hues. The nose is clean, with apple, pear, lemon zest. The palate has a slight effervescence which dissipates rather quickly. The palate is consistent with the nose, with lime zest. There's no trace of oak, lees aging or malolactic fermentation. The acidity is medium (+), the alcohol is medium (12%). Given its cool to moderate climate, Old World profile I guessed it was an albarinho. That was the wrong call because this wine is not particularly floral, or mineral driven. A nice wine, which is drinking well now, not intended for aging.
