  • About as good as it gets. Drank over 3 days. Consistent as pop n'pour on day 1 thru day 3. No breakdown. No decanting needed. Should stay at this optimum peak for 5+ more years. Perfect Rhone nose to great complexity/structure, perfect integration ripe and medium spicy fruit flavors and mild supple tannins. More new world; lacks herbal "barnyard" profile of French CDP wines. Memorable long spicy finish. 3 bottles left. I wish I had 2 cases.

  • Tailgating at Red Rocks. Didn't take any notes so won't score it but this was delish.

  • Very nice, medium intensity well integrated flavors of black cherry, ripe plum or prune, some oak hints, long finish.

  • Delicious. Like a clean, very ripe, rhone wine. The major differences are that there aren't many savory, herbal notes like you'd expect from a true, old vine French wine. Nose does have some lavender. This is new world in the sense that the fruit is ripe and powerful but its not over-extracted either. It's full in its delivery, driven with a core of black banana peel, blueberry, cranberry, and chocolate on the plate. Structure is legit with the right amount of tannins and a mineral streak to balance the prodigious fruit. Label says 15.9% alcohol but its so integrated, I wouldn't have guessed under 14%. Acid is medium high and rocks with food (coq au vin in our case). So pure. Loved it!

  • Good central coast GSM from one of the best producers. Blackberry ans blueberry notes, a touch of cocoa powder, streak of dried cranberry on the back. Full bodied wirh a fairly high ABV but it’s focused and not too hot, although i wish it had just a touch more structure toward the finish. Smooth and balanced - this is nice juice offering both crowd pleasing boldness and complexity for the connoisseurs.
