Decanted 1.5 hrs. The 13 Jamie may have life left in it however I can't see it getting any better than it is now. The nose is bright and fruity w some oak. The Tannins are well integrated though still slightly present. Paired w a surf and turf meal of shrimp skewers and short ribs, the wine was fantastic. Would have gone perfectly with full on ribeye or NY...

Drank over 2 days and was best on the second day as more depth and complexity emerged. Even in a brawny vintage like 2013, this is a smooth wine of balance that emphasizes a silkiness and luscious red fruit -- not a flavor bomb and not loaded with dark, oaky influences. First night was a bit simple but the fruit deepened and darker notes apeared overnight. The finish lengthened with a bit more structure. It's very nice for its style.

Beautiful deep, dark ruby in color. Dark berries and tar on the nose. Dark plum, cherries and green bell peppers on the palate. The finish was a long smooth 30+ second finish. While known for their Schramsberg champagne, The J Davies cabs are not to be underestimated.

Tasted at private event. Young intense small amounts of petite Verdot and malbec contribute to the fleshy fruit but tons and tannins and nice acids make this a wine to watch. Alcohol is 14.8 but nicely masked by the fruit Nd acid.

attractive nose. nice balance. young wine. fruits still dominate, the kind of wine that would do really well with some pepper steak kind of food.
