Really singing today, from pop through a day later: Red and black fruit, a complex core with deep flavors, earth and juniper; finishes long on mostly reasonably integrated tannins with acidity in the background. Overall mid-to-bass notes and delicious with anything vaguely meaty & gamey.
Three of these left. Wine has the stuffing to go the distance... time to slow way down, let 4-5 years go by between each one and see how Oregon Pinot ages under the screwcap.

First night open was very restrained showing little depth; however, on second night this was a wonderful Pinot with excellent balance of fruit & tannin with a long & pleasing finish. Conclusion is that wine should have been decanted 5-6 hours before serving and this vintage has still another decade of life or more. Unfortunately, Scott Paul is no longer in business.

Bottle number two of three RR pinots to start the year. Next to a younger Cameron and Ayres, this one is more developed with fruit moving seamlessly into a wet earth / lomay core (all three share this damp earth mid-stream quality) and then a bright finish on fairly decent acidity.

Dark fruit, sweetish cherry dominating with just a touch of earthiness.
