2nd night of our AgelvisPalooza.....this one belies its age. Color is still strong in the glass. Nose of a gently spiced cherry Jolly Rancher candy. With warming in the glass a little anise shows up, a hint of tea and later more florals come out on the nose as well. A 'resolved' and balanced wine at this point. Soft and even throughout. There is enough acidity to carry this for more years but I'd be afraid of the gentle fruit falling off. A spice of cardamom or cinnamon noted to carry through on the ending long after the fruit drops off. Nice finish. Feels very Burgundian to me.

Three hour slow ox. Deep magenta color. Cherry, pepper, cardamom, and cinnamon. Smooth, dry palate, with good acidity. Round tannins on the longish finish.
This has Burgundy-like gravitas, but is uniquely Oregon. It has aged very well.

Beautiful pinot! Glad we waiting on this one. Much more like a French Burgundy than a Oregon pinot. Complex flavors beyond the typical cherry notes you experience with many pinots. Balanced acid with softening tannins - med+ finish.
