Opened 2 hrs before dinner. With grilled NY strip-excellent match. Loads of fruit, good acids and nice structure. Vac-u-vin 1/2 bottle left & put in fridge. Next week brought it out and let it warm a bit. This time with a ribeye. Held up great. Tannins were well submerged. Not a knock your socks off Bordeaux, but definitely punches well above its price point. Wish I had bought more.

Is there any better wine at this price point of less than $10??? The merlot shows with a pleasing fruitiness, almost full body, and round tannins. While predominantly merlot, the small amount of Cab Franc occasionally shows with a suggestive darkness and charcoal. Drank this as a pnp and while it reads as 14% ABV, I bet it's lower. The drinking window shows to 2024, but I don't see any reason to wait. Greatest QPR and DD of the year(s)! Thank you Winex! Should've bought cases.
Too early to judge, but good fruit and decent tannins which should allow this wine to come together. My guess at this time is that I will probably rate this wine higher as it ages (3 more to go). We shall see!

N: FRAGRANTLY ripe, plummy frt, though stamina MAY be somewhat lacking?
P: Med, poss LM, body; Nice frt on front with some structure mid-P which init builds, then finally unfolds to a Long, very slightly faint finish. As P is not currently up to the aromas, I'm thinking 6-9 mos might improve it? Otherwise, ok, but not (presently) particularly noteworthy. 88-90 pts Vinous (Galloni, 4/1/15) & 87-88 Suckling. [As of early Mar '20, wine-searcher still shows 2 sources @ $13 & $14.82].
