Tio Lucho's Dinner (Sommelier Guild of Atlanta) (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at Somm Guild of ATL dinner @ Tio Lucho's. No formal notes (just scores) since this was a social event. Brownish color. Past peak. After a few sips poured this into dump bucket. Brad - heavypourwine.com

Similar to last bottle but no odd petrol element so was possibly an odd bottle or process. When cool gives more of a sappy sour bite up front but easy to like. Gains some weight and sweetness as warms.

West London Apocalypse Survival Team New World vs Old World Dinner (Two sites in leafy west London): First things first - 12.5% ABV Pinot Noir. Yes please. Light in colour - definitely looks older, and old world, in the glass. A slightly jammy finish, with candied red fruits and maybe a little black fruits. Much more enjoyable than previous bottles of this I've had - possibly because of the context, but I think it's in a somewhat good spot now.
My third favourite wine of the evening.

This tasting features Pinot Noir, as Delphine is from Burgundy, France. The wines tonight featured two white starter wines:
2014 Leeuwin Artist Series Chardonnay 2015 Gerard Thomas Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Murgers des Dents de Chien
The red wines were as follows (2 hour decant in jars before pouring in glasses for consumption):
2010 Albert Bichot Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru 2010 Marcassin Pinot Noir Marcassin Vineyard 2015 Landmark Pinot Noir Kosich Vineyard 2013 Domaine Drouhin Laurene 2013 Domaine Serene Two Barns 2015 Christophe Violot-Guillemard Pommard 1er Cru, Les Épenot 2014 Wind Gap Pinot Noir
This was an interesting single blind tasting with a few surprises! The group's WOTN was the 2015 Landmark Pinot, followed by the 2013 D. Serene Two Barns and the 2010 Marcassin. My Order was as follows: WOTN 2010 Marcassin followed by Two Barns, Landmark, 2013 Drouhin Laurene, 2010 Albert Bichot Charmes Chambertin, 2015 Christophe Violot-Guillemard Pommard 1er Cru, Les Épenot, and the 2014 Wind Gap. All wines were very good - excellent!
2014 Wind Gap Pinot Noir: This was my least favorite of the night. It started out better and got worse as the night progressed. This is definately a PnP wine that should not be decanted nor cellared for any length of time. It started out with some decent red fruit and sweet oak on the nose, with cherry cola and toast on the palate. But later took on a sherry quality I just could not get past. 89 Points when first tasted, 87 at the end of the night. I am giving it its best rating for official scoring.
