Dark berry on the nose. Deep violet and purple with slow to moderate legs. Light mouth feel. Cherry and plum on the palate. Smooth moderate finish with some spice. The spice became more prominent after the bottle was open for several days.

Medium purple color, definite rim variation. Nose of violets and plums. Medium bodied wine with light tannins, high alcohol, and medium-high acidity. Juicy blackberry, dark cherry, black raspberry, grape, and plum flavors with additional notes of black pepper, licorice, and spices.
A staple in my house, perennial QPR for this "entry level" Central Coast Syrah is off the charts. Go ahead and drink the 2014 now, then buy every vintage until you win the lottery...possibly even after. Cheers!
Dark and savory....concentrated but not overly extracted....red berries..leather..with slight smoke...always one of my favorites year in and out... delicious. Excellent QPR at 15 to 16$.

agree with the funkiness noted below, which seemed to fade after about 3 hrs decant, Try for longer decant , or more age, Dark Syrah lurks beneath
