This was past its primary stage but not yet showing a whole lot of secondary flavors. Was a lush wine in its youth. Don't see why this will not be very good at around 15 years.

Paired with a 3 hour sous-vide tri-tip. Drinking well right now as a PnP. Initial impression was that it might be riding the line of being too sweet but that impression faded with time. Good representation from Rutherford with black fruits and cocoa present on the palate. 14.9% alc but didn't taste hot. Enjoyed this more than the 2012 version and would buy again.

Thoroughly enjoyable Cabernet with beautiful, but not overwhelming fruit, violet, cassis, chocolate, hints of tobacco and herbs, a bit of dusty earth, and just hints of vanilla and spice. The palate is lovely and quite enjoyable with nice balance and plush tannins. Very good finish.

Coravin'ed a glass and let breathe for about 30 minutes. Also had a glass of 2014 Stone the Crows -- wanted to see which would go better with dinner.
The 12c hit the spot. The dark red fruit and kiss of Rutherford dust were in order.
Popped cork and drank over the course of 2.5 hours. Didn't change much for me. Very nice, solid wine. Nothing earth shattering. Good with food; really better with food than in isolation.
Purple fruit - blackberry, currants, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth. As usual, more of an old world/early profile mid-palate. Profile reminds me somewhat of the 2012 Beringer Reserve cab that I had last week but a little less depth. Fairly long finish. Decanted for two hours and drank over another three. Improved with time but was drinking well after the decant. However, I believe this vintage could use another year or two for the fruit to open-up a little more. In my opinion, more or less in line with Parker's barrel tasting review of 92 to 94 points.
