Really impressive nose right from the bottle. Improves over several hours and sjows more and more complexity and intensity. This wine is not anywhere near peaking out at this time. Palate is creamy and thick with lots of citrus and vanilla notes. Long aftertaste and all in all a splendid wine.

Admittedly, I do not have an expansive history with French Burgundy, but I found this bottle to be very enjoyable. It was certainly mineral driven and the fruit offering on the shy side at the moment, but the beauty of its balance and the sense it was so alive was impressive.

Chardonnay - White Burgundy vs the Rest of the World (Mike's House): For white burgundy, this had a lot of acidity and minerality. I found this to be enjoyable, but in a perfect world it would have more fruit. I'd like to see this calm down in about 3 years to see what has happened to it.

A meek St. Aubin, lacking in vitality or complexity.

Extremely good chardonnay. Tons of citrus and lemon juice. Sharp and focused minerality. Young and succulent. Power and balance all the way. Love it.
