Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 88 points

  • Acidic and a bit brash. A classically styled Cabernet built for consumption in about 7+ years at minimum. Mike Hirby is obviously trying to craft this wine for the long haul (at least I hope that's what he is doing, otherwise this thing will have problems down the line).

This is certainly not my preferred style of Cabernet, but I'll reserve most of my judgment for now in hopes it will become more sociable in the future. For now, this wine is a bit of a prick. The acid comes off so overbearing and in your face, everything else is hard to discern.

86-88+ points with hopefully some upside in 7+ years.
