Cork required heavy washing from mould and Grawd knows what. Clear signs of cepage. Expectations: I already brought another btl to the kitchen.
Wow! Countrary to my fake news based expectations, this is an amazing wine.
Faded tawny colouring. Nose is with deep Bdx earth, small Brett, licorice and dried herbs. Hay and a bit of sous bois make it complete. In the mouth, started out as thin and acidic, but after a 2 hr dbl decant (some serious sludge here) came around in great fashion. Has a clear CF component that makes me tick. Transparent style with firm cornerstones of acidity, fruit and intensity. Superbly balanced, all aspects integrated and with enough oumph to tackle a Pizza-La Peperoni Lover Pizza with extra garlic and chorizo... Like a pro!
At this point in time, and a showing like this: I think the wine will be good for another 30 years. Give or take.
Wife detected enough "old wine" to opt out of sipping it.

Rehoboam (= 3 magnums). I was not sure what to expect considering the poor reputation of the vintage. great sense of relief after uncorking. the color shows obvious signs of age, looks like an old pinot noir. the nose is intense and delicate. sweet notes of black fruits, precious wood, humid forest. the palate is not in place right after opening. after one hour open at cellar temperature, the wine was singing. not a monter of course. delicate, medium body (-), structure is more like a mature pinot noir. the rehoboam was opened for the 70th birthday of my father and all the guests loved it. overall a great experience. Instinctively, I think the size of the content was instrumental to the quality of the wine.

Unpleasant barnyard smells and very tertiary. Overall not very pleasant anymore. Many years too old. No score.
