Inky black with a ruby rim. Like many Daou wines, a heavy, glycerine-like stain in the glass. Strong French oak toastiness with beautiful red and black fruits. Mint and eucalyptus. 6 hour decant mellowed the tanin some, but this wine will continue to improve with another 5-10+ years of aging.

Great wine - maybe a little heavy on the oak . Would have been good for 5 more years

Giant fruit, funk, and still firm. Great with the ribeyes.

Lively and big, with a distinct Syrah flavor profile, red fruit and acid blend into a slightly dry wine. Really delicious.
