Rubied; muted nose, quiet yet confident; supple, grainy tannins, well weighted; tetchy finish. Flatters to deceive: the wine waxed & waned over a three hour period. Needs food & time.

Less fruit driven compared to 2014 Sancerre Rouge. Quite tannic, earthy, herbal, dark and grippy. A little skinny perhaps, but with good depth and lingering persistence. 90-91+

Very nice, much less evolved than the vendanges entières from the same vintage. Improved over three nights

Consistent to most recent bottle. Remains primary, bold red fruits - cherried nose. This will age further.

Garnet; initially lots of oak, plummy, then with air red fruits dominate; med/full bodied, correct acidity, well shaped; harmonious. At peak.
