Tasted blind. Clear, med (-) ruby with a garnet rim. Med + nose of ripe red cherry, tart black cherry, roses, aromatic herbs, stems (despite being 100% de-stemmed), mushrooms, organic earth, with elegant spice and tobacco notes from 16 mos. in 25% new French Oak. The nose is developing (+). Dry, with med (+) acidity, med, polished tannins and med (+) alcohol (13.5%). Med body, intensity and length, with a touch of balsamic on the finish. Extremely well balanced, harmonious and developed. Drinking well, with at least a couple more years to go.
A cool to moderate climate Pinot Noir, with outwardly more Old World than New World leanings, incorrectly leading me to Oregon.
