With Brett Raven at home. Golden straw color. Viscous. Nice nose. Juicy core of fruit. Vanilla. French oak. The mouth is quite good. Creamy oak, spicy vanilla. 5-11-16-7: 89/100.

At home at dinner. Bright straw color. Tremendous nose--this can't be a California wine! It has cream, butter and toast, and is a dead ringer for a French burgundy; maybe a top Meursault. The palate is tremendous too, starting off steely, miinerally, with a taste of soil, and lasting for a long minute. Creamy finish. A tremendous wine. Lots of acid for aging, and very well balanced. A knockout, and one of the very best California whites I have ever tasted. 5-14-17-8: 94/100.
