Lovely golden colour, beautiful texture. Round without being heavy, ripe squishy peaches and nectarines, a hit of acid through the finish ties it all together. I have always quite liked the Nantua and this was quite pleasing.

Holding nicely, still has a core of juicy fruit, rounded palate, nougat, hazelnuts and ripe stone fruits are complemented by smooth yet subtle oak. No real x-factor here but not sure that is really what it was shooting for, just a lovely easy drinking Chardonnay from a great producer that is ageing quite nicely.

An interesting experience over three nights. The last glass on the third night definitely the most balanced, long and enjoyable. This was a wine that with hindsight needed decanting. Mature but not yet declining, on the first night the acidity masked fruit and richness but this changed over the three nights. Quite along way behind the Estate vineyard.

Certainly showing more development now, has fattened up a bit since my last bottle. More honeyed, rich and toasted, roasted cashews, lanolin and peaches, showing great length. I personally wouldn't want it any more developed than this but it isn't falling over yet either

Nice minerality and acidity which provides the frame for a palate showing stone fruits and fresh pears. Nicely balanced and will hold for a bit longer too I suggest. Quite a nice drink overall.
