Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Consistent with the way prior vintages have showed on release - not all that expressive, but shows its breed through its refined texture. So finessed and slender, in fact, that it defies expectations for Clos Vougeot, which is ordinarily a powerhouse of a vineyard. This, on the other hand, might have its vines at the top of the Clos but has its heart in Chambolle. A classic style of winemaking too - pale, restrained, and - thank you lord - no CO2.
